Best 3G Broadband Deals

Currently, the best all round deal we find suitable for most mobile broadband users is the Vodafone offer giving 3GB per month data transfer for £15 per month (including VAT) with only a 12 month contract.

This includes a free USB modem which can be used in almost any modern laptop.  Additional data transfer is charged at £15 per gigabyte. *** See Note Below

Until recently, this pricing was only available for users choosing an 18 month contract and this now represents excellent value.

Many other 3G providers charge far more for "Out-of-bundle" data transfer - i.e. usage in excess of the included amount (in this case 3GB per month)

While this offer from Vodafone charges £15 per GB after the first 3GB usage in any month, Orange, Three and O2 charge approximately £50, £100 and £200 per GB respectively at present while showing a similar £15 per month headline price.  The out of bundle charges are present in the small print, if looked for - but by no means obvious to the casual observer.

We feel very strongly that the out of bundle charges should be made clear and included in the general specification of the product - not buried in the small print.
